Bob From Scranton
Gee. What happened to all of the below Eagle fans?
11/08/2008 11:03AM
Giants/Eagles
If on a nuetral site, it's Giants 34 Eagles 28. But it's in Philly so it's going to be Eagles 27 Giants 24 in OT. The Giants are still the NFC east champs and will be at the end of the season. The Eagles are a wild card team with a chance to meet the Giants again in the NFC championship. That game is in the Meadowlands and the Giants prevail. This is from a Philly guy.

PATHETIC MIA
Mia, why don't you spend some more time in a city before judging it. You attended 1 game at possibly the worst venue in sports(the vet). You know less than nothing about philly. You don't deserve to get treated to great facilities like the linc or citizens bank park(home of THE WORLD CHAMPION PHILLIES). Let me know you honest opinion after you attend a game. Philly fans notoriously get a bad rap...but you got to go and judge for yourself. Should be a good game...I'll be there rootin on my Iggles. Fugghetaboutit!
10/24/2008 8:36PM
Both 5-1 and soon to be 5-2
The edge goes to the home team here. Steelers play a hard nosed brand just like the Giants.
10/24/2008 3:38PM
Don't Play Down
As long as big blue play there game and don't play down to their opponent level
10/18/2008 3:08PM
TRUEBLUE1983
We need the Giants to have a big game this week and low out the 49ers just like we did a few weeks ago to seahawks. We blow them out and we shut people up for adleast a week. Then scheduale gets hard Steelers,Dacllas, etc
10/17/2008 2:56PM
ATSGoldmine
Since 2002 the Niners are just 3-10 ATS after they scored more than 20 pts two weeks in a row. Eli returns to form, Giants roll.

G Man 2009
The GMen will heading for Super Bowl 43

Burress to Score in Cleveland
Watch tonight as Burress is back with a vengence and 2 touchdown catches
10/06/2008 3:45PM
Hey Big D fan
We both played the Skins. How'd that work out for you?
10/06/2008 1:56PM
Beautiful Day
Only teams looking up are the Cowboys, Eagles, and Redskins. Wishing they were as good as BIG BLUE!!!
10/06/2008 1:55PM
Big D Bull
Hey Cowboys, your team is a joke. We'll see in Week 8 what happens but it won't be pretty. T.O. looked like your team lost yesterday in the Post game. Nice Team player.
10/06/2008 7:57AM
Hay Big D Fan
you guys look soft I woudent talk a lot of trash...Of course The Boys have not acheived anything for 13 years or so but that never stops them from chirping anything..
09/19/2008 6:54PM
Big D Fan
Hey Giants, Play a real team first. Week 8 will find the Gints looking up
09/15/2008 3:38PM
Keep Hoping
Anyone picking the Giants to win less than ten games this season must be an Eagles or Cowboys fan. They only hope the Giants don't make the playoffs.
09/13/2008 11:41AM
giants on a mission
i see the giants going into the post season.
09/04/2008 1:30PM
08 Big Blue
Its simple...just get into the playoffs and roll the dice and see what we really have. We are 2 regular season wins from getting into the Cowboys heads. The Eagles are better and probably going to be very tough this year. The Skins are a mess. Only the Seahawks worry me because they are so hot and cold. Minnesota cant throw and Greenbay is in a major transition with the QB. Just get into the Playoffs, get past Dallas and the Superbowl is a definatle possiblity
09/03/2008 9:22AM
same ole Giants
If it wasn't for the Giants D, we will be still talking about how Eli Manning stinks. This year I predict that the Giants will be at 6-10 for the season.
09/02/2008 1:03PM
Record for this year
9 and 7 and just missing the playoffs
09/02/2008 9:26AM
Team is Set!
Lets go for another Super Bowl!
08/29/2008 7:25PM
giants '08
Anyone who thinks the Giants are not going to make the playoffs does not know football. There is plenty of talent on both sides of the ball and I am sure at the wire they will pick up a player or two that will help them.
08/21/2008 8:35PM
New Season
Last year is past and the future is upon us. The future of the Giants is no playoffs, last place in the division and Eli stinking up the joint.
08/16/2008 4:53PM
Home Field Advantage
I am a season ticket holder who will not be renewing my tickets due to cost. I have to say I hope the Giants play better at home this year. For some reason they don't look comfortable at home and as a fan it stinks that they don't play well at home.I hope the fans can really cheer them on this year in the last year at Giant Stadium.
08/15/2008 1:56PM
Mike & Dog's split; Jamie Kelly in Leonardo
Nineteen years ago I was driving home from teaching and turned on WFAN. I thought to myself: "Who is this old guy with the screeching voice? Then I heard the smooth talking voice of Mike Francesca and the contrast and banter of the two was enthralling! I was hooked, and we have listened to you guys ever since! We'll miss the Dog and his screechy voice forever!
08/15/2008 8:34AM
GREED
Thats all the psl's are
08/14/2008 1:10AM
psl
Protest the psl all you want there will always be a new york giant fan to step into your place and I am one of them.
08/13/2008 4:54PM
Giants WR
I am liking the WR corps. They have a lot of talent. London and I love Mix/Nix from last year. Plus "the catch" Tyree I will like to see him get a chance. So I think maybe time for Toomer to move on and give some of the young guys a chance who seems to be very talented. (Moss, Smith, and so on...)
08/05/2008 10:49AM
Pig-Skinny
Thanks for another great Giants update! Cannot wait to for the season to begin already...
08/04/2008 12:00AM
fight the psl
attention all giant fans. lets protest the psl. during the home opener against the redskins, just after the pregame ceremonies and before kickoff, everyone should walk out of giants stadium. let them play the game before an empty house!!!
08/02/2008 1:14AM
psl protest
to all Giants and Jets fans. A walk out should be staged for your teams respected home openning game. I propose we go to the game, enjoy all the pre game hoopula, then everyone should leave the stadium and let the games be played before an empty house!!!!
07/25/2008 1:28PM
Easy Eli
The G-MEN will be good this year. Hopefully the record will show it. But because of Eli and his calm demeaner they will make the playoffs. Which is not easy coming off big high of SB victory
07/25/2008 10:15AM
Shockey & Strahan
Shockey is a great player but is replacable. The Giants are going to realize how important Strahan was to the defense. I wouldn't be suprised to see the defense struggle against the run this year. I hope not but with Strahan, Kawika and Torbor gone it's going to be tough.
07/24/2008 7:25PM
Mediocre teams....
Don't win Super Bowls and don't have 10-6 records. Looking forward to at least an 11-5 record plus at least a divisional title this year for the Giants. We don't need Shockey, as the playoff run last year demonstrated.
07/24/2008 10:44AM
knicksjetsmets
coughlin gets his sweet revenge! shockey is a overated, often injured loudmouth, giants are better off without him and they have a superbowl trophy to prove it
07/24/2008 5:40AM
gone gone gone
shockey gone and strahan, now maybe the giants will win without a lucky miracle pass, they still are a medicore team, you may have won but the fans will be the biggest losers...move on
07/24/2008 3:24AM
Shockey!!
As much as I hate to admit it,it was time for Jeremy Shockey to say goodbye to NY.Being one of my overall favorites, hopefully we'll get a couple of good draft choices next April.
07/23/2008 3:22PM
Mr. Shockey
Is a wonderfully talented player who no longer fit with the NY Football Giants. Reese did what had to be done. Wishing Shockey all the best with the Saints.
07/23/2008 11:42AM
Burress
is this guy starting to remind anyone of Chad Johnson?????
07/23/2008 11:39AM
shockey
this is the way things are in the NFL. If you have a player that is a cancer in the locker room then get rid of him!. Other teams should take a good look at this situation and follow the giants lead! their are alot of big mouthed overpaid crybabies in the league who care nothing about a cohesive team unit and the bottom line ... WINNING THE SUPERBOWL. Bengals should have taken the same route with Chad Johnson!.
07/23/2008 9:18AM
Too Bad
Shockey was never used properly under Coughlin yet he dedicated himself to becoming a great blocker. His comments in 2006 were just part of a Tiki Barber led locker room of discontent. He may not have been on the field since mid December but he was a valuable contributor. I find it hysterical how the media who loved getting comments from him are now crucifying him. I hope that he has a great year for the Saints. You can watch Boss now from your $20,000 PSL seats.
07/22/2008 10:41PM
good riddance
An over-hyped,narcissistic jerk & bad attitude is gone from the locker room. This is clearly addition by subtraction. He drops more balls right in his hands than any TE in the NFL!
07/22/2008 6:35PM
loser
addition by subtraction
07/22/2008 5:09PM
A great trade
If Bobby Bonilla had been a football player in NY he would have been Jeremy Shockey.
07/22/2008 4:05PM
Reece's pieces
after the '07 draft and a super bowl i'm willing to trust the GM's moves, he has earned a slacked leash for a while .
07/22/2008 3:39PM
IT'S ABOUT TIME
THEY FINALLY CUT OUT THE CANCER. EVERYTHING TURNER AROUND LAST YEAR AFTER HE WAS GONE. THE TEAM WILL BE BETTER IN EVERY WAY WITHOUT THE LOUD MOUTH BABY
07/22/2008 1:06PM
Time to leave
I always wanted to be a big fan. Somehow great players make great plays and he never did. hense, he was NEVER a great player. I will never forgive him for the pass he dropped in the playoff game against San Fran his rookie year. Cost us the game. Kevin Boss is a better receiver, I only hope he blocks as well. Shockey can be replaced.
07/22/2008 12:55PM
He's a bust!
Never made a big play when you needed it dropped too many passes and needs to get his head handed to him over the middle!
07/22/2008 12:08PM
Jersey in Jersey
Anyone know a place where I can have shockey removed from the back of my jersey and have McCOnkey put on?
07/22/2008 11:59AM
Shockey was counterproductive
Bringing energy is overrated. Shockey was counterproductive with his penalties, dropped balls, and wrong route patterns. It's pretty obvious that Boss will be better.
07/22/2008 10:57AM
I am glad
He does bring energy but we did win the superbowl with out him .. I think he caused more trouble then he is worth... they know they can win and what it takes now ....
07/22/2008 10:06AM
Good Move, But....
Good Move but if Boss Man get injured, we are in trouble. Should have made this trade pre 2008 draft and use that 2nd round pick on a tight end.
07/22/2008 7:51AM
On the field
If you look strictly at Shockey on the field, you just traded away dropped passes, fumbles and wrong adjustments in patterns. Shockey thought he was a superstar, but he was a very inconsistent player. When you combine that with the off-field stuff, this was a no-brainer. Prediction - Buress now finds his way to the NJ-based off-season program.
07/22/2008 1:26AM
good bye
dont slam the door on the way out
07/22/2008 1:22AM
Shockey
Thank God we got this head case out of New York,,he think he is bigger than the team,,Good Bye and grow up
07/21/2008 5:57PM
Gasping in 21042
It was a bad trade. They should have gotten a first round pick at least. Shockey is a MORON. All wannabe football players will sign for less to be on a contender. It will be Death Valley for him.
07/21/2008 5:38PM
Shockey
Shockey is a PUNK. He will be a loser wherever he goes because he has a bad attitude. I just heard he did not take the field throughout the entire mini camp and took on the GM in a verbal dispute to boot. This led to his teammates going to Reese and telling him they had enough So much for all his teammates loving him. You wanna be a winner. Shut your mouth, support your quarterback and make plays. Kevin Boss has shown he does all of the above and has not reached his full potential as a player. He has his whole career ahead of him and I see a little Jason Witten in him, a good pass catcher with soft hands. I am very pleased with this move.
07/21/2008 4:55PM
Bye Bye Shockey
As much of a talent Shockey is, his childish selfish behavior was not conducive to good team chemistry. Kevin Boss has shown that he can pick up the slack and I'm sure Eli won't miss the tantrums in the huddle. Jeremy, good luck and good riddance.
07/21/2008 4:36PM
NO SHOCK
IT WAS ALWAYS ABOUT HIM NEVER ABOUT THE TEAM.HE WAS A WARRIOR WHO PLAYED HURT,BUT NEVER PLAYED A FULL SEASON.HIS ACT GOT OLD,HE'LL BE ON HIS BEST BEHAVIOR THIS YEAR FOR THE SAINTS<THEN HE WILL BECOME THIER DISTRACTION,GOOD RIDANCE!!!!!!
07/21/2008 4:34PM
Marko
I love shockey, but it's time to go. too selfish and always hurt. I bet he's on the IR more than the field for the remainder of his contract...
07/21/2008 4:12PM
shockey
that sucks
07/21/2008 4:03PM
Shockey
Good riddance!
07/21/2008 4:00PM
Reese makes a big mistake
Jerry will live to regret this one. Under no circumstance do you let a player like Shockey go. Prime of his career- passion for the game. The saints are a contender in the NFC and I hope we dont meet that offense in the playoffs. Reese made this personal- Jerry this is not personal - its business. And you just made your first big mistake that you will regret. This is a very bad move.
07/19/2008 6:30PM
Rename Tyre's catch
David Tyre's tremendous catch in the Super Bowl should be called "THE HEARTBREAKER" and the game should be "THE PERFECT HEARTBREAKER" - the end of perfect season ie: reference to Tom Petty and the heartbreakers
07/19/2008 10:49AM
PSL
I'm also a long time Giant fan. I'm tired of hearing for the last two days how my family had season tickets for thirty years. Its about time you gave them up. I hope they empty the stadium of all the season ticket holders. Other Giant fans like myself would like to see a game also.
07/18/2008 7:16PM
PeniSL
No way in this economy an average joe (i.e. typical Giant fan) can afford the PSL charge. The PSL's will be snapped up by effete hedge fund guys and other execs that won't even show up if the weather drops below fifty degrees. You could by a pretty snappy 65 inch high def tv for a lot less and watch the games in the comfort of your own home. But eware, you might miss seeing in person a once in a century miracle helmet catch.
07/18/2008 6:10PM
Same Deal In Dallas
The Cowboys are buidling a new stadium and they are pricing us out of the market. I have had tickets for a few years and I think the teams are overestimating the limits of their fans financially. I think the Cowboys are going to have trouble selling out here. The Cowboys are charging up to $16,000 PSL for premium seats.
07/18/2008 2:23PM
PSL
Why don't the Giants include all PSL purchasers in a revenue sharing process that reimburses each purchaser over time up to the full amount of their purchase price.
07/18/2008 1:20PM
Tailgating
now that I have to pay 5000 psl am I still going to be able to tailgate or do I have to go to the new restaurants
07/18/2008 1:14PM
Giants PSL
Let me give you guys a different snap shot. Anyone who has had the luxury of owning Giants season tickets appreciates what the have...including my self. This is about traditions that will come to end. My dad has been going for 40 years and I have been going to 24 years. I don't need a better stadium, I never heard one fan argue that a better experience is needed and the fact that they under calculated by 600 million is disappointing because I am being penalized for there mistake. I own 4 lower level seats. I expected to pay more...but to listen to John Mara pontificate how there are a ton of options for fans is insulting! My price went from $4800 a year to $45,600. More facts: If you want to move upstairs...the Mara's are charging me $5000 a seat for the honor of sitting in the first 4 rows. Is the "experience" different in row 4 than row 5? My dad took me...it was something I looked forward to. I wanted to take my son. The guy who was fortunate to sit on the giants sideline...well his ticket price just went from $100 to $700 per ticket per game. How is that just or fair? Plus a $20k PSL. The Eagles & Seattle stadiums are beautiful and they have a lower level/mezz PSL but free to go upstairs. We "Giant fans" are not elite we are the electricians, cops, cooks, carpenters, transportation workers that plunked down there hard earned money over 40 years ago to support a franchise and to watch some football on a Sunday. This is just wrong. Over 35,000 fans will be priced out of the new stadium.
07/18/2008 9:02AM
Giant Nightmare
I am a long time Giant fan. Me and my brother just got 2 seats at the top of the stadium after 25 years on the waiting list. And now I might not be able to afford them? Like many Giant fans, I live in NYC metro area, where cost of living is expensive. Even though it's 1G per seat, that's still a tough pill to swallow. You also have ownership giving the option to long time season ticket holders to down grade their seat...do they get their seats before I do? And you have 2 pro teams in one stadium, and rumors of naming rights to the stadium being kicked around. All this so I can see the out side of the stadium light up...gimme a break. Ticket costs are speculated to be $150 a game to boot!
07/17/2008 7:03PM
PSL
Why can't the PSl's be refundable upon turning in your "deed". Then the Giants can charge and get the increased value of the tickets. Also 2 teams are splitting the cost of 1 stadium, so PSL's should be much lower!!!
07/07/2008 2:25PM
PSL
should be a number of season tickets available, PSLs will cost upper deck fans 1k per seat and i know quite a few have 4-6 seats. The Jets will surely follow.
06/27/2008 12:24PM
strahan
now that yu have retired and stopped being the center of attention do everyone a favor , if you are going to be on TV every week get those dam teeth fixed! lol
06/27/2008 9:26AM
Waiting list question?
If every seat now has a PSL and whoever owns the seat can then sell the PSL to anyone they want, then are they going to still have a waiting list for season tickets after this year. Meaning if your number 8,000 on the waiting list this year and you do not get the opportunity to get a seat in the new stadium, then how would you get tickets in the future, since the owner of the PSL can sell to anyone?
06/11/2008 9:30PM
the winer
He is pouting like a baby because he isn't the fair haired boy anymore. He has great talent if he would catch the ball & shut up. Thanks Stra
06/08/2008 8:41AM
Jeremy Shockey
Time for the Giants to do what they should have done on draft day. Get rid of another unhappy distraction. (Does Tiki Barber ring a bell). And Barber was twice the player Shocky is.
05/27/2008 6:08PM
21
Kenny Phillips #21 hey Tiki how do you feel now?Ripping SUPERBOWL CHAMPION coach and quarterback, cant wait to hear what you have to say this year and how wide your fake smile is going to be!!
04/29/2008 12:41PM
J. SHOCKEY
I READY TO FOLLOW MY LEADER AND THAT LEADER IS ELI MANNING. SORRY EVERYONE FOR LETTIN YOU DOWN
04/28/2008 5:43PM
no shock
Listen, anyone who really thought Shockey was gonna get traded doesnt know the first thing about management mind tricks. This was the Giants telling Shockey, "Listen, we won the bowl without you, and we will trade you!" Trust me! Shockey comes in to camp ready to go< and now Eli can tell him where to go if he mouths off!
04/28/2008 2:53PM
Shape up or Shock out
I like J.Shockey but if he causes problems for QB he's got to go!
04/28/2008 1:33PM
jeremy
he can go if he wants..we got boss and he can handle things.shockey wore me out.
04/25/2008 10:55AM
Jeremey Shockey
Jeremy Shockey tells the Giants learn how to use me or trade me. I thought we learned how to use him last year. He sits on the bench, we win the Super Bowl. Who is he to throw down the gauntlet. The Giants are the CHAMPS. Can any one say Mardi Gras beads. Go Giants.
04/16/2008 12:54PM
NY footbal Jets and Giants
Both better Clinch week 16 so I can relax on my vacation in Aruba when I'm unable to watch the game
04/16/2008 11:34AM
TROUBLE
Has anyone noticed that the Jets travel to the West Coast four times? Believe me, this is not a good thing. Tough year, again for the Jets. No better than 8-8.
04/16/2008 9:30AM
osi
ship him out , he is a weed and it's summertime time to clean up!
04/15/2008 6:05PM
Giants99
ALL THOSE 1PM HOME KICKOFFS MUST BE A MISTAKE (6 GAMES?) THAT WILL CHANGE
04/15/2008 5:34PM
Giants rule
If Coughlin can keep things together, the Giants could go 12-4. They have a remarkably easy schedule for a Super Bowl Champion! They could also still come in second in the division. Go Blue!
04/15/2008 5:32PM
Jets 10 and 6
You heard it here first!
04/14/2008 4:44PM
ahmad bradshaw rules!!
i am life long giant fan n bradshaw is my favorite player ever... hes like mr.t from rocky III except he always wins and hes the one screamin "u aint so bad u aint so bad u nothin your momma hit harder than that!!" haha i love em

Eli Manning getting married
Congratulations to Super Bowl 42 MVP Eli Manning as he is close to tieing the knot with his College Sweetheart.
04/03/2008 9:21AM
Trade Osi
If Osi is not happy then trade him. We dont need another cancer in training camp.
04/03/2008 9:07AM
Osi be a man !!!!
Osi be a man and honor your contact. We do not need any disruptions at training camp as we look to repeat as World Champs.
04/03/2008 9:03AM
Osi honor your contract like a man
So if the Giants give him more then I am sure that Tuck,,Coffield,,Pierce will want to as well so where does it end ?
04/03/2008 9:00AM
Osi dont be greedy
Just another example of greedy selfish players. He signed a contact now honor it like a man.
04/03/2008 8:59AM
Osi wants to tear up his contract
Another example of a player breaking his word. When he was hurt and missed most of the season did he offer to give any money back tothe Giants ?
04/01/2008 1:08AM
Giants opener
Brilliant timing - make it as difficult as possible for the ticket holder who works to make the game. Giant loyal season ticket holders should have been rewarded w/ a 1pm or 4pm sunday game.
03/28/2008 4:24PM
Pacman Jones
I can't believe that Roger Goodell is going to allow the cowbags to trade for this unconvicted thug. What's next, Jerry (the jackass) Jones petitioning the league to be allowed to draft out of the prisons?
03/22/2008 8:39PM
Nialsg Reply
I agree they will miss K. Mitchell. But don't forget the Giants System was perfect for him. The Blitzing and great D Line helped him. I dont know if he will be as dominant in Buffalo.
03/20/2008 8:01PM
Niallsg
They are going to miss K . Mitchell. He was in on so many tackles during the playoffs and Superbowl. More than he was credidted for by the way.
03/19/2008 9:57AM
Deanglo Hall Reply
Yea Al Davis gave him around 9 Million a year and a 2nd round pick. Raiders can have him. The expert scouts said he was above average talent who THOUGHT he was much better then he was. Giants do not need that kind of tude in locker room.
03/18/2008 9:17AM
deanglo hall
signed with raiders not redskins, we need a good corner
03/16/2008 9:29AM
Sweet Reply
Yea I agree with you. I liston to Boston radio on the road and those fans needed to be taken down a beg or two.
03/15/2008 10:13AM
Derrick Ward Signed
Great to have Derrick Ward back on the team. Gives the Giants a 3 headed running game plus he is the best receiving running back on the team. He is 100% recovered from his broken leg.
03/14/2008 3:43PM
Sweet
Big Yankee fan but that was sweeter than any Yankee WS. Beating the PATCHEATIOCS and BELICHEAT was SWEEEEEEET. Crying Boston fans is the greatest.
03/14/2008 9:08AM
Danny Clarke New LB
Good Choice by the Giants to pick up a good versatile LB that can also play special teams.
03/13/2008 9:01AM
David Carr Signed
Good Job by the Giants to get a back up for Eli Manning. This may be the first team in history to have two number one overall picks as there QB's.
03/11/2008 9:16AM
Giants Rule Reply
The NFC East prepares the Giants for the post season. Every game is a war against great teams.
03/10/2008 9:07AM
Strahan
O.K. I know Strahan is a great player. But this year we cannot afford to lose the first two games of the season because he did not report to pre season camp. Either he comes back all the way or he retires.
03/09/2008 10:35AM
Tom Coughlin
In his first year he benched Kurt Warner and hitched his wagon to his young rookie QB Eli Manning. From that point on he never ever waivered and stood beside Eli Manning 100% all the way thru the Super Bowl Victory.
03/09/2008 10:30AM
Tom Coughlin Thanks
What a job Coach Coughlin did in his first 4 years as Giants Head Coach. I am glad he is now making what the other top coaches in the league are making. He deserves it.
03/08/2008 9:11AM
Congratulations to Coach TC
Congratulations on Tom Coughlins new 4 year deal for over 5 million a year. No Coach is more deserving.
03/08/2008 8:54AM
D'Angelo heading the Redskins
I hear that D'Angelo Hall is going to the Redskins. I did not think he would have fit in with the Giants team concept.

Giants rule!!!
As weak as this conference is and all the free agency moves, it seems like the Giants are the only super power in the NFC to basically stand pat knowing that the kids have a world of experience, this team if they want it can rule this conference for a few years to come, I'm now worried about the Eagles transactions they are just about done with their quote on quote run, the Cowgirls please all talent no heart, the Skins might be good but i think the Giants are better, of course injuries will be vital but boy we can be seeing a G-Men dynasty if they are hungry enough. GO G-MEN!!!

No Crying in Football Favre
This was a retirement not a funeral. What is up with Brett Favre and T.O. the faces of NFL turning into blubbering cry babbies. Vince Lombardi is rolling over in his grave.
03/07/2008 9:24AM
Brett Favre
I will always remember his last game and his last pass that was picked off by Corey Webster in O.T. that lead to the the Tynes game winning FG. Thanks for the memorys Brett.
03/07/2008 8:11AM
We lost Gibril, Mitchell,,Torbor
We lost the 3 players above and picked up Sammy Knight. All in all not such a bad off season.
03/04/2008 9:42AM
Gibril will be missed
Gibril was a tuff player with good football I.Q and a real good tackler. He gets a good pay day as the Raiders are over paying for Free Agents.
03/04/2008 9:40AM
Shockey To Saints ?
Word has it that The New Orleans Saints are interested in Shockey. I want at least a # 1 pick for him if this is true.
03/04/2008 8:51AM
Sammy Knight
I like the idea that he is a ball hawk and is not afraid to make a break on ball. Giants need more INT's in 2008. Plus he is a good tackler.
03/04/2008 8:45AM
Sammy Knight Signed
This is a good signing. Sammy Knight is a good solid Safety and will be a big help to the young D backs. He is only guaranteed 1 Million so it will not hurt us from a salary cap issue.
03/03/2008 7:42PM
Great wrap-up of media coverage of the season
AlmostPerfectSeason is an amazing Web site that captures all the bitter, negative coverage from the media during the season. Great, concise, memorable quotes calling for Coughlin's head and running Eli out of town.
03/01/2008 9:53AM
We lost Mitchell and Torbor
We lost Mitchell and Torbor so now linebackers become number 1 on our list. Word has it we may lose Gibril Wilson as well.
02/29/2008 9:38AM
Linebackers and D Backs
Giants should be looking for Linebackers and D Backs in Free Agency. From what I understand they have 22 Million to spend.

You could certainly make a case that this play was the GREATEST IN SPORTS HISTORY.

RE: Greatest Play In Football History
You morons, it can't be considered the greatest play in football history because the final result of the play was not a touchdown or points of any nature! The Catch and the imaculate reception both resulted in touchdowns. I think you people are still caught up in the moment. And the Pats aren't teh greatest team in football history. They weren't even defendng champs! They were due to lose and the Giants were the one lucky enough to be playing them. The Packers would have beat them as well!!! It's called the LAW OF AVERAGES! That is why no team has ever gone undefeated in a 16 game season. If the 72 Dolphins played two more game they would have lost as well!
02/28/2008 9:05AM
Greatest Play In Football History
When you take all of the factors that went into that play. You could easily say that it was the GREATEST PLAY IN FOOTBALL HISTORY.
02/28/2008 9:03AM
Greatest Catch In Football HIstory
It was against the greatest team in football history. It was in the Super Bowl. It was in the last drive of the superbowl where the Giants had to have a touchdown.
02/28/2008 9:01AM
Greatest Play In Football History
After escaping and scrambling and spotting Tyree Eli Manning had to throw a high perfect pass or it would have been intercepted or batted down by Harrison. At the hight of his jump he pinned the ball with one hand on the back 3rd of his hemlmet and came down with the ball with Harrison drapped all over him.
02/28/2008 8:52AM
Greatest Play in Football History
If Eli Manning goes forward or sideways he is tackled. How he new to go backward is unbelievable. Then the scramble,,, spotting Tyree and making a Perfect throw. And thats only half of the play !!!
02/28/2008 8:49AM
Greatest Play In Football History
It wasnt just the play but the circumstances. Super Bowl,, Undefeated Team,,Needed a TD not just a FG,, It was a story book situation.
02/28/2008 8:46AM
Greatest Play In Football History
After a month of close examination you could easily call this the Greatest Play In Football History.
02/28/2008 8:33AM
Kiwanuka,, Shockey and Ward
Any word on how these 3 are recovering from there injuries ?
02/27/2008 8:51AM
Eli Manning and Shockey
Anyone who listened to Eli Manning would have no doubt that he has no problem at all with Shockey and wants him back for 2008.
02/27/2008 8:49AM
Strahan Retiring
He has earned the right to do whatever he wants to do. But he should make a decision soon so that the Giants will know what to look for in the draft and free agency.
02/26/2008 11:09PM
tyree catch - "Break Free to Tyree"
The only name that does the play any justice is "Break free to Tyree" There is no other rhyme or wit comment that gives credit to both parts of the play. The others don't really do the play justice or equal credit .
02/26/2008 9:06AM
Ward,,, Mitchell and Wilson
I think the Giants should re sign all three of there Free Agents. We need them for 2008.
02/26/2008 8:03AM

Giants pick 31 overall in draft
I hope that Jerry Reese is going to over see the draft picks that first year guy Marc Ross makes.

Tyree's Helmet
Tyree had the type of helmet that is smooth on top. The other type ( the kind ahmad bradshaw wears ) has a ridge down the middle and the air holes. I wonder if that ridge would have prevented Tyree from holding on to the ball.

Yes I enjoy it everyday. Have an issue of the S.I. in my car. The more I look at that picture of Tyree the more impossible that catch becomes.

Intellectually challenged jet fans
Jet fans, we realize you are deranged as your team is an embarrasment to the state of NY but please realize that when a QB or a coach is doing bad they are allowed to be critized, its not against fan law. Just like when your mets choke, you bad mouth theyankees, I don't get the deflection of your disgruntled rants.

Does anyone feel the Giants should go hard for any Free Agents out there ?

Giants hired Bill Arnsbarger
The Giants hired a defensive genius Bill Arnsbarger in the 70's off of the Miami Dolphins. It was a huge mistake. Just because someone is a great defensive assistant does not mean that he will make a great coach.
02/12/2008 8:53AM
Spags Stays
There have been lots of coaches who have been assistants for a long time. Mike Ditka,,, Dan Reeves,, George Allen,, Tony Dungey to name a few and became great head coaches. You dont have to leave after one year. Just another example of Mike being wrong.

The Gridlock Bridge
Eli's escape from gridlock traffic (plus grid has a football connotation; gridiron & gridder). When Tyree came down with the ball, he assumed the "bridge" possition that a wrestler uses when avoiding a pin. With a city full of bridges (e.g., Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge), it's time to introduce the Gridlock Bridge. Doug Strebel, Sandy Hook, NJ
