Seeing the Light We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The end of the regular season is coming to a close. Hard to believe, really. The Rangers right now find themselves on the outside looking in.

Deadline Doings Going into, and looking back at the 2010 NHL trading deadline, one would have known that there wouldn’t be any major players moved. The night before the deadline, Toronto sent Alexei Ponikarovsky to the Pens for a prospect and defenseman Martin Skoula. Skoula was then dealt to the Devils for a 5th round pick.

USA vs. Canada Showdown "Do you believe in miracles? YES," shouted Al Michaels when the boys of Team USA defeated the Soviets in 1980. That was the amateurs versus the men. Fast forward to 2010.

Super Sunday There may have never been a more intriguing match-up in a preliminary round of Olympic Hockey. We are talking decades of Olympic Hockey, but when Team USA (2-0) does battle with Team Canada (2-0) it will be one of the most exciting, highly anticipated match-ups and Olympic events Vancouver has to offer.
NHL Stars Come Out in Vancouver The NHL season has officially been put on hold. Whether you are a fan of the NHL allowing their players enter the Olympics is now irrelevant. It is here. One thing is for sure, there will be an immense amount of talent playing ice hockey in Vancouver.
Let’s take a glance at some of the powerhouses.

Trying to Create Space I am not the biggest fan of the NBA. It’s not a personal thing against basketball. I played lots of basketball when I was a kid. However, I don’t like the fact that most trades are now made based on ‘dumping salary.’ Teams make trades to free up cap space and try to acquire players with expiring contracts.

Halfway Home Looking at the standings in the NHL right now, one things stands out more than anything. I cannot believe we are just over halfway through the season. It is time to look at the some highs and lows of the NHL season thus far, not only with the Rangers, but in the entire league.
I'm Not Pro Olympics I love the Winter Olympics. Skiing, snowboarding and especially hockey. The rink is bigger, the game is more open and it is a break from having a true passionate rooting interest. I am not saying I don't root for Team USA...

Stuck in the Middle So here we are. Basically at the midpoint of the NHL season. Hard to believe, really. The Rangers are exactly where expected, right in the middle of the pack. This comes to no real shock, even despite their 7-1 start to the season. They have had some good wins, some bad losses and a whole lot of in the middle.

Missing Center Piece So last week after punch to the stomach after punch to the stomach from the Rangers, I all but wrote them off for the season. Of course, since then they have won a few games...
Offensive Woes Continue to Sting What makes writing these blogs challenging and fun is when you have a team like the Rangers, you can go back and forth on how they are good, how they are bad and everything in between. Last week I forced myself to make a choice, a ‘yay’ or ‘nay’ to whether they were a good team or a bad team. Those who read, know I said they are a bad team.
Same Old Rangers It's tough to imagine things getting any worse right now. Sure the Rangers will occasionally tease you with a win, a solid effort and a really good game. But in the end, it is always the same thing.
The Basement Blueshirts Well, it has officially happened. The one thing Ranger fans have feared since he was signed to a contract on July 1st. Marian Gaborik has become their only offensive force and it is now a problem.
Long Live The King! Rangers Can't Trade Henrik The first thing I want to say is that I am a fan of "The Masked Man," and his blog on WFAN.com. I am one of the few who knows the man behind the mask. He is someone I can call a good guy...
The Skating Wounded The Rangers season continues to have its share of ups and downs. Right now, it is filled with downs. Those downs are being forced by injury. Now without Brandon Dubinsky (broken hand) and Chris Drury (concussion from a cheap shot by Curtis Glencross...
Power Outage Well it took a few weeks of teasing us, but the Rangers have finally cooled off and are no better then most of the teams in the Eastern Conference. This is no ones fault, in fact you got a glimpse...
Finally Powerful To say the Rangers power-play has been brutal the last few seasons is really understatement. I can't tell you how many times I have sat there shaking my head the past two seasons as the Rangers continued to embarrass themselves with a man advantage.
Raves For The Rookies It's easier to write, blog, banter and complain when a team is doing poorly. I have been looking at a blinking cursor for a while now thinking of topics with the Rangers to debate and I gotta be honest people, there is nothing to complain about.
Speed Skating So three games into the season, and being 2-1-0 on the year, there are three things to descibe what you have seen from the New York Rangers: Speed, depth and goaltending.
Getting Offensive It always goes by quick. The NHL offseason is a short one. After the Stanley Cup finals, you have the draft, free agency, then a month and a half to go on vacation and sit on the beach. Then training camp starts.
Hometown Boys When the Rangers unveil their roster for the 2009-2010 season, two key players will be a train ride from their hometowns....
Hitting the Ice As training camp opens, the Rangers still have many questions that need to be answered. Who will be the top center? Who will be the 4th line center? Who is on D?
