It has been a long week here in Ft. Lauderdale. Believe it or not, working down here on Radio row all week, I have paid less attention to what is going on with the Super Bowl than if I were back in New York.

Man, am I an idiot! Let me say that I am sorry for my pick in last week’s Jets game. In case you missed it I picked the Chargers giving 14 ½! I really thought San Diego was going to win the Super Bowl this year. I didn’t think the Jets had a shot in hell. I was wrong. DEAD WRONG!

I’ll be honest with you. I feel like I don’t deserve to be picking these playoff games the way I finished the regular season. After being above .500 for the majority of the season I struggled the last four weeks or so and ended up a game under .500. That really bothers me.

Well, it took 13 weeks but I finally took the collar last week. As it turns out, Week 13 was an UNlucky week for me. Pathetic. Those weeks are bound to happen though. I’m a little surprised it took so long! Anyway, there is only one thing to do. Get off the mat and pick some winners!

Week 13 should be one of the better weeks of football we have seen in a while. There are lots of big games in both conferences. I would almost say it’s an “elimination” week. Once you get to 7 losses your playoff hopes are pretty much dead. If you have 6 losses after 13 weeks you need to run the table at minimum to have a shot. Last week I was flat out HORRIBLE with the picks. An unacceptable 1-3 AND I got knocked out of the knockout pool. Pathetic! These things happen when you're making picks I guess. I used to be the first guy to pound a Chris Berman or a Peter King for their lousy picks.
