A Super Sunday

What a game! Yes, it was somewhat of a dull week leading up to Super Bowl 43 and yes everyone was saying this one could be a dud, but NO ONE thought it might be the best Super Bowl EVER.

PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2009 ANNOUNCED

Wide receiver Bob Hayes, guard Randall McDaniel, defensive end Bruce Smith, linebacker Derrick Thomas, owner Ralph Wilson, and defensive back Rod Woodson make up the Class of 2009 Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinees.

Mia Missives: Super Bowl 43 Preview

Steel Curtain? Big deal. That's what I say and that's what the Cardinals basically have said all week. They are not looking at the Pittsburgh side of the ball as we approach Super Bowl 43.

Super Bowl 43 Preview

Having spent the last seven days down here and having been around the Steelers for five of them, it's hard to pick against them. From top to bottom it's difficult to find a chink in their armor. Mike Tomlin seems like a born leader. When you listen to him speak he exudes confidence. So much so that you forget the man is just 36 years old.

Coach Speak - Arizona Cardinals

NO MORE TALKING!!!! YAY!!!! I am not sure how many times I can hear Coach Ken Whisenhunt talk about his former team and how he feels about facing them in the Super Bowl.

Coach Speak - Pittsburgh Steelers

The media blitz has come to a conclusion. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin held his final press conference of the week at 9:45A this morning here at the convention center.

The Final Word - Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers met the media for the final time this morning, and like the rest of the week, it was pretty ho-hum. Mike Tomlin was named the Motorola NFL Coach of the Year.

The Final Word - Arizona Cardinals

The final day of player media availablity was today and if they weren't tired of the same questions after four days, I sure was. I definitely noticed a greater number of "religious" type questions over the last few days, because as we all know Kurt Warner is a religious man.

Meeting The Media...Again - Pittsburgh Steelers

After fighting through the massive crowd at media, today was more like it. Sure, there were plenty of reporters at the Steelers availability but at least you could move. Pittsburgh is doing their work at the University of South Florida and they turned the Sun Dome into their press conference headquarters.

Meeting The Media...Again - Arizona Cardinals

Wednesday at the Super Bowl...I think I just had a flashback to Monday and Tuesday. No, just Monday. Same room over at the Grand Hyatt...well, actually it was a couple of tents that they set up outside for the whole week's events.

Media Day - Arizona Cardinals

Media Day....Ok, it was bad, but it wasn't THAT BAD. No, it was BAD. I didn't like it. But being someone that is not a big fan of crowds or people breathing down my neck it wasn't the best of times for little me.

Media Day - Pittsburgh Steelers

A couple of interesting thoughts from today's availability. First, the Cardinals had more media in attendance than the Steelers. I found that odd, because at Super Bowl 40 it was the exact opposite.

Meet The Press

Wearing a tan suit, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin arrived at his scheduled 3:15 press conference at 3. He waited until his allotted time talking to photographers and the assembled familiar Pittsburgh press that were in earshot.

Hard At Work

Well this is more like it. The last four years I've been to Jacksonville (cold and rainy), Detroit (heck it was Detroit), Miami (warm but cloudy and wet) and last year Arizona (sunny but unseasonably cold). And that brings me to Tampa. Can you say 75 and sunny EVERY day!
